Terms of Service

Last updated: April 14, 2026

1. Welcome & Agreement

Hey, thanks for stopping by dpianalyzermouse.com (the “Website”). We built this tool to help gamers, designers, and everyday users measure their mouse DPI accurately and easily (the “Service”).

By using our Website, you’re agreeing to these Terms. If you don’t agree, please close the tab and carry on with your day. These Terms apply to everyone – casual clickers, esports pros, and hardware tinkerers alike.

2. What We Do (And What We Don’t)

What We Offer:

We’re here to give you a reliable estimate of your mouse’s real DPI (dots per inch). You move your mouse a set distance, our tool calculates the DPI based on cursor movement. Think of it as a digital measuring tape for your mouse.

What We’re Not:

  • Not a Guarantee of Perfect Accuracy: While we do our best, results can vary based on your mouse sensor quality, mousepad surface, and how straight you move. The numbers are estimates, not lab‑grade measurements.
  • Not Professional Calibration Service: We’re not your hardware technician. Use our tool as a helpful reference, not a certified diagnostic.
  • Not Liable for Your Settings: If you change your in‑game sensitivity based on our DPI reading and your aim feels off, we can’t be held responsible.

3. Accuracy & Real‑World Factors

Here’s the honest truth: Mouse DPI measurement isn’t always perfect. Your results can be affected by:

  • Mouse acceleration or “Enhance pointer precision” (Windows setting)
  • The surface you’re using (cloth pad, hard pad, desk, etc.)
  • How straight you move the mouse during the test
  • Your screen resolution and scaling settings
  • USB polling rate and driver quirks

We do our best to make the tool as accurate as possible, but your actual DPI reading may vary slightly from test to test. Run it a few times and average the results – that’s the smart way.

4. Who Owns What

  • Our Stuff: The design, code, branding, logos, and the algorithm behind our DPI calculator belong to dpianalyzermouse.com. Please don’t copy, scrape, or reverse‑engineer what we’ve built without asking.
  • Your Stuff: Any mouse movements and distance inputs you use with our tool belong to you. We don’t store or share that data. By using the calculator, you give us permission to process that information in real time to show you your DPI – nothing more.
  • Other People’s Stuff: All mouse brands (Logitech, Razer, SteelSeries, etc.), game titles, and product names are trademarks of their respective owners. We mention them only to help you understand the context – not because they endorse us (though we wouldn’t mind).

5. Playing Fair

You’re welcome here, as long as you play nice. That means:

  • No harassing other users (if we add comments or community features)
  • No bots, scrapers, or automated scripts hammering our tool
  • No trying to break, exploit, or overload our systems
  • No using our DPI analyzer for commercial resale or shady purposes without our permission

6. Our Legal Liability (The Fine Print)

To the fullest extent allowed by law, dpianalyzermouse.com and its team are not liable for any indirect, accidental, or unusual damages that come from using – or not being able to use – our Service. That includes lost gaming matches, poor aim in a tournament, wrist fatigue from wrong DPI settings, or money spent on a mouse that doesn’t match your expectations.

If you have a problem with us, your total compensation is capped at either $100 USD or whatever you paid us to use the Service (which is probably $0, because we’re free).

7. “As Is” Warning

We provide the Service “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE.” That means we do not promise it will be perfect, uninterrupted, or error‑free. If the tool glitches during your test, refresh the page and try again. We’re working on it – but we’re not legally on the hook.

8. Links to Other Sites

We might link to other websites (like mouse reviews, tech forums, or gaming guides). We do not control those sites, we are not responsible for their content or privacy practices, and clicking them is your responsibility.

9. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms occasionally. If we make big changes, we’ll give you a heads‑up here or via the site (maybe a banner or pop‑up). If you keep using the site after changes roll out, that means you accept the new Terms.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of California, United States without applying conflict‑of‑law principles.
